Some of Our Favorite Stuff

On the go: see our Uppa Baby Vista stroller and BOB or Bumbleride suitable for in-town strolling and heavier terrain; the Uppa lightweight works well for travel, fits easily in the car boot, and for quick spin about town. One feature of Uppa Baby Vista, the Bumbleride Flyer and the Quinny Buzz is that your child can face you while seeing the world behind him or her as s/he rides in comfort (and high style). We also sell double strollers by Uppa Baby and BOB; the Uppa Baby Vista has a rumble seat attachment or a ride-on board for bigger kids, whose legs are still kinda small.
Safety is a top concern when buying car seats. We have a certified car seat technician available to help ensure you are installing your car seat correctly. We also believe in helping you find the right car seat for your car! We sell infant car seats by Kiko and the Maxi Kosi Priori. Convertible car seats for infants through to booster include Britax and Sunshine Kids. Sunshine Kids is narrower than most car seats, so they are especially good for smaller cars (or three car seats across). We’ve got boosters, too.

In the nursery: We’ve found beautiful, sturdy cribs. Pacific Rim cribs boast a low carbon footprint. Made from solid maple, this crib has the ability to convert into a toddler bed for extended use. We sell Oeuf furniture as well, for a modern and more traditional nursery set up; we have crib, clothing and toy storage, changing station, and bookshelf. The Caribou bassinet has an optional changing station and the Scandinavian Child bassinet is simply beautiful. We offer Eco Baby and Pure Rest mattresses. We’ve got organic bedding—sets and separates—from Q Collection and Dwell. And we have sleep sacks—like the Gro Bag and a great one from Aden and Anais—and swaddle blankets by Swaddle Designs, known as the “ultimate receiving blanket” for good reason, in both regular weight and the lighter weight Marquisette, and available in regular and organic fabrics.

We have a great miniature table and chairs by Anka.

Stylish, helpful items for Mamas-to-be and new mamas: we’ve got maternity wear staples, like the Bella Band (great for nursing, too), clothing from Egg, Japanese Weekend and La Made and nursing tops from Glamour Mom and Japanese Weekend. We have nursing pillows by Eco Baby, made of organic cotton and wool.

Chow time: babies don’t arrive knowing how to eat and drink in a civilized manner! We’ve got safe plastic and glass bottles, sippy cups, utensils (including crafted metal keepsake-worthy spoons by Beehive), dishes that are ready to withstand toddlers’ experimental food play and even a snazzy bottle drying rack. Burp clothes, bibs by Baby Bjorn and smaller companies, too. We’ve found some great high chairs by Svan, Anka, HiLo, and Bloom. We’ve also got a couple of easy booster chairs that travel well like the Handysitt (so good that some people use them all the time).

For independence seeking toddlers and kids, we’ve got potties by Baby Bjorn and Boon.

Cute kids/cute clothes: who can resist putting adorable children in adorable clothing? We keep finding irresistible items for your child’s wardrobe (or friend’s child, grandchild, godchild…) up to size 6/7 including Kit and Lili, Baby Soy, Winter Water Factory, Appaman, Specces, Hatley, Penguin Levis and Sckoon. Check out alternative fibers and organic clothing made stylishly.

Ever-important etc. category: at impish you will always find a surprise or two or three, from accessories such as socks by Trumpette and Melton, barrettes and hair ties by local artisan Anne Murdock or Giddy Giddy to silly snuggly toys by Sophie and friends (the giraffe so popular in Europe) and Bhoulu, Murdock designs, Yellow Label crochet rattles—handmade and fair trade delights. We’d be remiss not to mention bins suitable for toy storage by Skip Hop and storage cubes by Dwell. Pick up a Nields CD to dance while you play or organize!
